Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful parts of us. - David Richo
I’m Tesia - an active practitioner, student, and teacher of mindfulness and meditation. I completed my Master’s in Counselling Psychology with a specialty in Mindfulness-based interventions in therapy. I offer virtual psychotherapy and sessions in-person at the Resiliency Clinic. As a Certified Teacher of mindfulness, I teach the 8-week Mindfulness-based Symptom Management program in the Ottawa Mindfulness Clinic.

As a young undergraduate student studying French & English literature, I began practicing meditation to help cope with stress and anxiety of a major life transition. I immediately saw the power of stillness and silence as a way to develop insight and cultivate present moment awareness. Meditation quickly became a routine practice, wherein I’d learn to sit with distress and eventually better handle my own thoughts. In 2016, I began my Master’s degree in counselling psychology, and I was opened to the world of Mindfulness as a therapeutic intervention. Mindfulness has become a part of my daily life. Together, my passion and willingness to share in this practice with the world ultimately became my life’s calling. I believe in an experiential approach to Mindfulness, and I attribute my ongoing practice to happiness, health, and healing energy.
